That Conscience
If I am that Conscience
Mother, my conscience sting
Pouring out of me in fling
Wiping my eyes ring
Seeking for me great bring
I invite my conscience in joyful wise
With a heart to beat rise
To replace the sage that flies
I will not have the restless energy
That employs time in the dark
But that conscience to encourage life's worth
I past you in watchful love
Like a racing dove
With white silky glove
To soothe and confide
With fears the conscience that amplifies
Stern to the closing of that casket
