FORWARD
It gives me great pleasure to introduce again this second and expanded edition of Sierra Leonean Heroes. In our last issue, we promised to improve upon that presentation, by providing more information on more of the men and women who have helped to shape the course of our society and who have dedicated their lives to the service of their country and fellow men. The Committee charged with the task has worked very hard to make this promise a reality.This edition should therefore go a long way towards building up greater awareness of rich diversity of our culture, increasing our respect for our great leaders and fostering national unity.I would recommend that this volume be used in schools and colleges and also form the basis for replicas on our stamps, money and other such memorabilia and symbols.
