Armed Forces Revolutionary Council
25 May 1997 to February 1998

The Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC), led by Major (later Lieutenant-Colonel) Johnny Paul Koroma, came to power in a military coup on 25 May 1997. It was ousted nine months later by the ECOMOG force.
